Lake Luzerne UMC participates in two local Ecumenical ministries. The first is the Maxfield Community Food Pantry. With a representative on the board, we both help run, and operate the food pantry, but we are not alone. Operating under the 501c3 banner of the Rockwell Falls Presbyterian Church, the food pantry is open five days a week, and staffed by volunteers from the community. The pantry board consists of members both from area churches, as well as other members of the community. The pantry is available to those living in the HLCS district who need help with food. A family may use the food pantry once every 30 days.

Tuesday: 6pm-8pm
Wednesday: 1pm-4pm
Thursday: 9am-12pm
Friday: 9am-12pm

Our second ministry is a joint effort with our siblings in Christ at St. Mary’s. When it first started we were by ourselves, but it has exploded over the years and now requires many hands. Funded in part by donations from Stewarts and other wonderful people, “Breakfast for the Children” currently serves all those in summer school during the month of July.
